Advanced Composite Technician

Aircraft manufacturers have developed new designs using composite materials to build stronger and lighter aircraft.  These techniques include building aircraft parts from woven fiber materials like fiber glass, Kevlar and carbon fiber.  Throughout the course, participants will be introduced to safety and personal protective equipment needed, the different materials used in composite manufacturing, volume measurement, lay-up and manufacturing techniques and quality issues.
