The Basic Industrial Welding course is an introductory to Shield Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) and Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW).  The course is designed for the new welder to get a basic understanding of three relevant welding processes used in  local industry.  It covers welding safety, equipment, filler metal and basic fillet welds on T-Joints welded in the four welding positions.  Quality per current AWS code is used in the visual inspection..


Students are required to provide the following equipment: Welding Shield of choice, All Leather Gloves TIG Style or Welder Gloves, Clear Safety Glasses (Good Quality Anti Fog), Denim Shirt, Welding Jacket or Welding Sleeves, Welder Cap (optional), Shop appropriate Work Boots.

*Welding supplies can be purchased at any Welding Supply Store.
